Joe Kanzangu is an adventure and culture writer, presenter and host. He’s written for Undark Magazine, Complex and The Guardian. His work has been featured in Mother Jones, Adventure Journal, Salon and High Country News. He reports on the polymorphic Black experience in nature and the trailblazers leading the way.

As an outdoor enthusiast, you can find him skating, snowboarding, skiing, surfing and everything in between. When he’s not outside or researching the socio-historical components of our current social climates, you can find him cooking for those around him. He’s on a journey to build vibrant communities through food and culture. If you really look you might see and hear him in a few commercials. He’s currently based between Denver and New York City.
