Brielle Steiner
takes checkered Flag
at the SCOPE go cart night!!!!
SCOPE: 4/20/05
Go-Cart night was great fun
again! A total of twenty-eight SCOPE members, friends and families took to the Dromo One
go cart track Wednesday night. It was great to see new faces and meet new
boat heads. Like last year, event coordinator Ron Songrath had to miss the
event due to a prior poodle commitment, but Wayne Lee stepped up to the
plate and got things handled and had all the entry forms ready and the
racing went off without a hitch!

There were four heat races, one consolation heat, and
the main event. The top point earners based on each heat made it to the
final. One thing became apparent immediately, the Steiner’s, Bill, son
Kyle and daughter Brielle were the ones to beat. Gordon with Paul Pfaff
Marine posted some fast times! Where was Cheng you ask? Sitting in
the "timeout" box for rough driving while trying to fit a 48" wide cart
into a 12 or non-existent gap! He drew a black flag dropping him from the
main event. So much for the 2005 President's Challenge! But, true to
the King Poodle that he is in boating, he looked better than he drove by
wearing a new F1 Schumacher outfit, Marlboro helmet and a cute poodle on
the zipper. What a goof!
We got a lot of racing time due to extended heat laps
a slightly smaller crowd, and the main event was a full 15 laps! What a
battle! The “Do not bump” sign was out on display for the
first three laps of every race.
The final results were:
The guys were smoking hot tonight but none could catch Brielle
Stiener as she kicked everyone's butt, her brother Kyle Stiener was second
with Gordon rounding out the top three.
Thanks to all who attended.
