S.C.O.P.E. Visits LA Boat Show
To start the year off and get us all motivated, some S.C.O.P.E. members
got together as a group to visit the LA Boat Show on the opening day,
Saturday March 2nd. Entrance tickets to the show were compliments of Dick
Simon Marine. If you missed the S.C.O.P.E. gathering, be sure to catch
the show anyway. It lasts until March 10th.
Thanks Dick Simon, from S.C.O.P.E. !

- As is tradition, Dick
Simon Marine displays three inventory boats right in the
front of the show. In this show case display was a Reggie
Fountain Special Edition 42 footer!

- Of course, we had to wait around for Ron Songrath (and
company) to show up before we all posed for this photo.

- Being an "offshore" enthusiast boating club and
interested in POWER, we made our way to the various motor
builders too. Paul Pfaff, Bob Teague and Mercury Marine.

- Too much to list here, there were all types of boats, and too
many kinds of hardware to mention. Somehow, we managed to cover
most of the show in a short six hour period.
One major boat that stuck out was a work in progress.....a
custom built RED 54 foot Hallet for Terrible Herbst Enterprises.
Also, a beautiful 46 foot Skater in a pleasure configuration was
displayed at the front curb to the show. The name was "Lick
This".
